I'm a wife, a mother of two grown children, and a lifelong animal person who runs on coffee, chocolate, and hooded sweatshirts, with a soft spot for crisp fall days. I'm also a South Carolina transplant. The Army sent us here, and when my husband retired, we decided to make it home.
I grew up without a single professional photo of my sister and me with our parents. I didn't have family portraits made until I got married, and I think about that gap more now than I did then. It's a big part of why I do this work.
At the end of graduate school, my husband gave me my first DSLR, and that was it. I've now spent 20 years photographing families, children, seniors, and professionals, and more recently I've focused on women over 40, showing them the beauty and wisdom that comes with getting older.
What I care about most is capturing the feeling, attitude, and presence of the people in front of me. I guide you through every step, from choosing outfits and locations to posing and choosing your final images, so you never have to guess.
By the end, it feels less like a photo shoot and more like time with someone who's on your side. Your story is a work of art, and I'd like to help you tell it. Reach out when you're ready to start.
My photography started as a kid, with the family pets as my first clients.
